Maryland Ravens
Maryland Ravens supports individuals with disabilities by helping them achieve goals and develop leadership skills. As part of their Abilities Awareness Program, disabled athletes visit local schools and tell their stories. These stories of how they have overcome obstacles inspire students to do the same. The visits include wheelchair basketball games.
Abilities Awareness Event at St. Francis Academy
This event hosts wheelchair basketball games played by disabled athletes. Not only will it motivate at-risk youth to achieve their own goals, but it inspires confidence in the disabled athletes as they demonstrate athleticism, sportsmanship and teamwork.
